Walnut Trivet Off-Center side.jpg
I like how the cut disappears and it seems out of round at first glance

Walnut Trivet Centered side.jpg
I like that the outside is solid but think the center needs to be larger

I'm happy overall with this one, learned a lot (as usual) especially about proportions, planning steps ahead of time and the best order, ability to sand, ... It is about 5" in diameter and about 1" thick.

Really nice idea, and great job. What will you use as a finish, if anything?

Hi Norm - I decided since it will be banged up by hot pots(general use) to only use Mahoney's Utility Finish Oil. It did darken the color quite a bit as a bonus
